Project Overview: Veterinary Clinic Construction

We transformed a former Chase Bank into a new veterinary facility and faced multiple hurdles, including permit and inspection delays, tight timelines, and three major holidays. Despite these obstacles, we delivered a high-quality build in record time.

Project Timeline:

  • Start Date: November 12th
  • Completion Date: December 27th
  • Additional Work: Minor electrical change order and punch list completed January 6th–9th

Challenges and Solutions:

  • Permit and Inspection Delays: The city building department’s backlog and plan changes delayed the project start by over three months. Inspection-related delays added 4–5 days to the schedule.
  • Holiday Work: Our team worked through Thanksgiving weekend, Christmas, and New Year’s to meet deadlines.
  • Tight Schedule: Despite delays, we finished construction in less than 50 working days—10 days ahead of the planned 60-day timeline.

Collaborations and Contributions:

  • Royal Plumbing: Delivered outstanding service, including a critical intervention by the owner to resolve an inspection issue. Their responsiveness ensured we passed inspections and stayed on schedule.
  • Woodbridge Construction: Went above and beyond, working after hours, weekends, and even Sundays. Their expertise in framing, drywall, and specialized installations like the x-ray room lead shielding kept the project on track despite client changes.

Results:
The project was completed with exceptional quality in a very short time. Thanks to the dedication of our team and partners, we overcame delays and delivered a facility that exceeded the client’s expectations.
