Looking back at the entire process from RFP, design review, contracting, and construction I cannot find one area that Slaten did not exceed our expectations. Their proposal was on time, clear, all our questions were answered during the review, and constructive suggestions were respectfully made by the Slaten team. Our work was done on time, on budget, and the minimal punch list items were quickly and correctly completed without us having to chase Slaten down. The project manager kept us informed and updated us every step of the way and when change orders were made it was met with a positive attitude with options offered and work completed to our satisfaction.

I am an architect in Chicago Illinois and John and I have done everything together from above three stories, multi-Family, and large commercial work. John has a very extensive background, and I often rely on him for his expertise even if he is not doing the work. John has extensive knowledge of ground-up and remodeling and has many years of construction for mixed-use buildings over 4 stories in height. John's experience and attention to detail on the projects we have worked on together have been invaluable to our firm and the development team.

Amazing business, with an excellent reputation! I was very particular about whom to hire for my project. After interviewing many general contractors, I went with a local firm. Most GC’s don’t give a post-covid realistic timeline of project. John’s communication exceeded my expectations, and his honesty won me over. I am positive I made the right decision to hire them.

I have had the privilege of working with the Slaten crew on a few occasions. The crew I worked with during this time period, was very professional in everything they did. They had job briefings (along with mine) every morning, which covered everything they planned to do that day. All in all, this crew did everything in the Safest, Possible manner! They did this on a daily bases!
